SUPPLIES & FABRICATION
Welding /Fabrication & Hood Lighting — South Carolina and Surrounding Areas
If it needs to be fixed or built to get your system right, we handle it.
When SSS assesses or services a commercial kitchen ventilation system, they sometimes find components that need more than cleaning. A cracked fan housing. A broken mount. An access panel that was never properly installed. Ductwork that needs to be fabricated to allow proper cleaning access.
Most hood cleaning companies stop there and tell you to call someone else. SSS takes the job.
Welding, custom fabrication, superficial repairs, and system prep work are part of what SSS does — because getting your system to the right condition before and during cleaning is part of what full CKVS management
actually means.
What this includes:
- Welding — cracked housings, broken mounts
- Custom ductwork fabrication
- Access panel repair and fabrication
- Superficial metal repair
- Pre-cleaning system prep and repairs
This work is part of the service —
not a separate line item from
a separate vendor.

Need something repaired before the system can be properly cleaned? Let’s take a look.

NFPA 96-Approved Hood Lighting — Supplied and Installed by SSS.
Most commercial kitchen hood lighting isn’t rated for the heat and grease environment it operates in. SSS supplies and installs North American Kitchen Solutions (NAKS) LED bulbs — an NFPA 96-approved hood lighting solution built specifically for commercial kitchen applications.
NAKS bulbs carry a 30,000-hour lifespan and include an automatic shut-off feature that cuts power at 275°F — a critical safety mechanism that reduces fire risk in high-heat conditions. When your hood lights need to be replaced, SSS handles the supply and installation as part of the service. You don’t source bulbs separately or schedule a separate contractor. Every bulb comes with a two year manufacturer warranty for complete peace of mind with every installation. If there is ever an issue SSS will take care of any warranty submission and replace the bulbs at no additional charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does SSS handle repairs and fabrication as part of their service?
Yes. Welding, custom fabrication, superficial repairs, and system prep work are part of SSS’s full CKVS management offering. When SSS encounters a component that needs to be repaired or fabricated to get the system working correctly — cracked housing, broken mount, damaged access panel, or other superficial issue — they handle it directly. Clients do not need to coordinate a separate vendor.
What kind of hood lighting does SSS install?
SSS supplies and installs North American Kitchen Solutions (NAKS) LED bulbs — an NFPA 96-approved hood lighting solution with a 30,000-hour lifespan. The bulbs include an automatic shut-off feature that activates at 275°F, providing an additional layer of fire safety. SSS handles both the supply and installation as part of its CKVS management service. There is a two-year manufacturing warranty on the bulbs, and SSS will handle any replacements needed as part of that warranty.
Are NAKS LED bulbs NFPA 96 compliant?
Yes. North American Kitchen Solutions LED bulbs are NFPA 96 approved, meaning they meet the National Fire Protection Association’s standards for commercial cooking operations. Using NFPA 96-compliant hood lighting supports overall system compliance and reduces fire risk.
Do I need to service my hood lighting separately, or can SSS handle it?
SSS handles it. If your hood lighting needs to be serviced — whether due to age, failure, extended use or an upgrade to a higher-safety bulb — SSS supplies the NAKS LED bulbs and installs them as part of the service visit and provides complimentary housing cleaning. No need to source the bulbs separately or coordinate another contractor.
Why does auto shut-off at 275°F matter for hood lighting?
The auto shut-off feature on NAKS LED bulbs cuts power to the light if the temperature inside the hood reaches 275°F — a threshold that indicates abnormal heat buildup and potential fire risk. This reduces the chance of a lighting fixture contributing to or failing to respond to a fire condition. It is one of several reasons SSS recommends NAKS bulbs specifically for commercial kitchen hood applications.
